Michael has 45 years of experience in the building industry. He graduated from the College of Architecture at Clemson University with a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning. Starting his career as a planner in Greenville, South Carolina Michael was instrumental in developing land use regulations to stimulate economic investment and redevelopment in the growing county. Michael moved to the private sector in 1978, joining JE Sirrine Engineers where he was involved in the development of several projects in the Pulp and Paper and Technology industries. He returned home, to the State of Connecticut in 1981, joining the engineering and architecture firm of C.E Maguire. In 1983 he entered the construction industry with W.E. O’Neil Construction where he worked on the construction of the state’s tallest building, City Place, in downtown Hartford, CT. He rose to President of W.E. O’Neil Construction of Connecticut and oversaw numerous large-scale projects including Phoenix Mutual Corporate Headquarters, and Stamford Harbour Park. He left O’Neil to serve as President of CR Klewin, managing the construction of the later phases of the Foxwoods Resort Casino including the Grand Pequot Tower. He managed the national expansion of CR Klewin, overseeing the construction of casinos in Arizona, New York, Washington and Oklahoma. In 2005, Michael started his own business focusing on the entertainment and hospitality markets. His company has served as owner’s representative for the Downstream Casino in Oklahoma, Resorts World Bimini Bay, Bahamas, First Light Casino Taunton, Massachusetts, Kiowa Casino in Devol, Oklahoma and the Resorts World Casino, New York Cit
